Position Summary:

The UH-60A/L Instructor Pilot (IP) provides flight and ground instruction to ensure pilots maintain the skills, proficiency, and readiness required for safe UH-60 A/L operations. The Instructor Pilot conducts training and evaluations, provides guidance on aircraft systems and procedures. The ideal candidate is an experienced UH-60A/L aviator with strong instructional skills and a commitment to aviation safety and operational excellence.

Experience Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of rotary-wing aviation operations, UH-60A/L aircraft systems, and aviation safety.
  • Ability to interpret and comply with applicable flight regulations, technical manuals, procedures, and customer requirements.
  • Effective communication, Crew Resource Management (CRM), teamwork, and commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Ability to maintain all required flight qualifications, currency, and medical requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years direct experience as a UH-60A/L IP.
  • Must have a minimum of 1,000 aircraft total hours
  • Must have a minimum of 250 Instructor pilot hours
  • Prior U.S. Army UH-60A/L aviation experience.
  • Previous experience serving as UH-60A/L Pilot in Command (PIC).
  • Instructor Pilot (IP), Standardization Instructor Pilot (SP), Instrument Flight Examiner (IE), or Maintenance Test Pilot (MTP) qualification.
  • Experience supporting military flight operations, aviation training, maintenance, testing, or government contracting environments.
  • Experience operating multiple UH-60 variants preferred
  • Must hold applicable FAA commercial pilot certification and rotorcraft/instrument ratings required for the position.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required security clearance and installation access.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be physically able to perform duties and responsibilities of the classification.
  • Must be able to work with required materials without debilitating irritation to skin, eyes or respiratory system while wearing the required personal protective equipment.
