Position Summary:

Vali, Inc. is seeking a Safety and Occupational Health Analyst to join our team. The Safety and Occupational Health Analyst is responsible for identifying and evaluating workplace hazards and risks, conducting accident and mishap investigations, and supporting compliance with applicable safety, health, environmental, and construction safety standards. This position applies established safety principles, practices, and analytical techniques to assess industrial operations, hazardous materials, and facility conditions while assisting in the development of effective hazard controls. The position also applies environmental regulations related to hazardous chemicals and toxic waste and prepares technical reports, briefings, and other communications to support safety and compliance initiatives.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and other analytical techniques to identify and evaluate program areas involving high risk, new or revised operations, hazardous materials, and other adverse conditions.
  • Conduct accident and mishap investigations and apply applicable reporting requirements and techniques.
  • Evaluate construction standards, practices, techniques, materials, equipment, and utility systems to determine compliance with building safety standards.
  • Develop effective controls for work and equipment hazards resulting from new construction or modifications to current facilities.
  • Apply the concepts, methods, and techniques used in environmental health, industrial hygiene, safety engineering, fire prevention, and other occupational safety and health specialty areas.
  • Apply applicable standards, methods, practices, and techniques to industrial processes and operations.
  • Apply environmental principles, practices, procedures, and laws pertaining to hazardous chemicals and toxic waste.
  • Prepare, present, explain, and defend technical reports, briefings, and other technical materials.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in job hazard analyses, risk assessments, and other analytical techniques sufficient to identify and evaluate program areas involving high risk, new or revised operations, hazardous materials, and other adverse conditions.
  • Experience in accident and mishap investigation and reporting requirements and techniques.
  • Experience in construction standards, practices, techniques, materials, equipment, and utility systems.
  • Experience in the basic concepts, methods, and techniques used by environmentalists, industrial hygienists, safety engineers, fire prevention specialists, and personnel in other safety and occupational health specialty areas.
  • Experience in the standards, methods, practices, and techniques applicable to industrial processes and operations.
  • Experience applying environmental principles, practices, procedures, and laws pertinent to hazardous chemicals and toxic waste.
  • Skill in oral and written communication sufficient to prepare, present, explain, and defend technical reports, briefings, or other technical material.
