Aircraft Mechanic (A&P Certificated)
Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and repairs as assigned. This position reports directly to a Lead Mechanic.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs maintenance and repairs in accordance with prescribed practices and procedures
- Must have an A&P Certificate
- Must have great attention to detail
- Completes required paperwork as directed
- Maintains clean shop and keeps organized as directed.
- The fleet includes: 8 x Cessna 172’s, 2 x Piper Singles (Warrior & Arrow), 2 x Piper Twins (Aztec & Apache), 1 x Cessna 421, 2 x Robinson Helicopters (R-22 &R-66)
- Contributes to a safe work environment by reporting workplace hazards
- Ensures compliance with all 14 CFR part 91/141 regulations
Position qualifications required:
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English
- Previous Robinson Helicopter maintenance experience, R-66 preferred
- Must have knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb ladders, and maneuver around aircraft
- Must be able to pass a company background and drug test
Work Environment:
- Flight-line and hangar at times in inclement weather
- Workaround chemicals, solvents, and paints
