Defense Acquisition, Inc., a Huntsville based provider of Business Operations, Acquisition, Test & Evaluation, Information Technology, and Logistics services to the Department of Defense, announced today that it has merged with another Huntsville, Alabama based Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned small business, Vali, Inc. Combining DAi’s mature management systems and experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency, U.S. Navy, and the Department of Veterans Affairs with Vali’s experience supporting Army Aviation in both manned and unmanned aircraft operations and logistics, provides Vali with the tools necessary to manage larger contracts for the U.S. Government and to provide a broader range of solutions to customers across the Department of Defense.
“We’re extremely excited to bring DAi and Vali together as one team,” said Steve Smith, CEO and President of Vali.
“DAi gives Vali the processes and systems needed to manage complex contracts and a sound customer base with MDA, the VA, and the Navy, while Vali provides extensive experience providing support to Army Aviation.”
DAi, a SDVOSB, was formed March 2002 in Huntsville, Alabama by Rich Jones, to support of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense program. Since that time DAi expanded to providing a range of professional technical and management services within the Department of Defense, NASA, and the Veterans Administration.
Vali, a SDVOSB, was formed in August 2017 in Huntsville, Alabama by Steve Smith and Kim Rose, to provide Business Operations, System Engineering, Software Engineering, Training, and Logistics support to Army Aviation. “As Vali grows, we want to continue providing the same, outstanding support we’ve been providing our existing customers, while seeking partnerships with companies that share our values. We’re also committed to giving back to our local community and doing what it takes to attract and retain a high quality work force,” said Steve Smith.
